About Neal

Neal Anderson, North Carolina Real Estate Agent Headshot

Meet Neal

My purpose is very simple: To help people create more significance and profitability in their lives through Real Estate.

I am a Husband, Father, Entrepreneur, Real Estate Broker, Real Estate Investor, Sales and Leadership Expert.

I love helping clients buy, Sell and invest in Real Estate on Lake Gaston, at the North Carolina Coast, and in Raleigh, North Carolina...3 of the best places in the US to reside and invest in Real Estate!

Originally from the Adirondack mountains of New York, I moved to Raleigh after Law School to join my wife, who is a Raleigh native and proud graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill. We have 3 high school/college-aged boys who grew up at Lake Gaston and the beach during the summers. We wanted a place to escape...to create memories...whether for the weekend, entire summer, or to eventually live full-time.

Being able to live both at Lake Gaston and Raleigh gives me a unique perspective as well as allows me to be where the buyers, sellers, and investors live! So if you are selling, buying, or looking to invest, chances are I will be able to help you quickly.

I use my 25 years of legal, sales, and marketing, leadership, construction, and real estate investment background to offer a unique skill set in the Lake Gaston/Coastal real estate market. As you know, an agent is only as good as the experience they have outside of driving people around, opening doors, preparing houses for listing, etc. That's the easy part! But there is so much more.

4 main things to look for when considering using an agent.

 1. Do they have a legal, business, negotiation, sales, and construction background? What experience do they have outside of taking a real estate course? As you may know, real estate agents are a dime a dozen, and most do not actively practice. Even those that do often lack the skills critical to your success.

2. Real estate is law! Does the agent have legal experience? Due to the complexity of real estate, many argue that a law degree should be the bare minimum qualification for licensure in North Carolina. I agree. Real estate is also a selling and leading business. An agent needs to know how people buy and why they don't...how to negotiate...how to lead people to a common goal. If an agent does not possess these vital skills, then their clients risk losing tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars.

3. Is the potential agent connected to a large market or just the small local area? Are they so connected locally that they create a conflict of interest between themselves and the other agents such that they cannot zealously advocate for YOU? Do they live where the buyers and sellers live?

4. Do they understand construction in terms of new construction or what it takes to perform a successful renovation? Do they understand boat house/pier construction and repair? As one client said, "it's hard for an agent to list a house or help buyers or investors buy a house if the agent cannot see the big picture in terms of cost of each part of construction, renovation, or understand boathouses."

The bottom line is your agent should be experienced and hungry for your success! If all they see you for is a commission check, then RUN. I would love to schedule a time to see if we could be a fit.
